  Hard — there are guidelines and a full guide, but it's not easy. Sam's own first time (without a guide, pre-Base44) took two months and 68 rejections.

  Completely depends — Base44 won't say no to the question but says no to most people asking. There are user stories/B2B features, but the product changes weekly, so it's tricky.

  No — that's a misread. An app can have one user and be unusable and cost a billion credits, or a million users and cost nothing. It's entirely how you build it — not an answerable "how much does it cost to run X" question.

• 08For login info, passwords, or user posts — how do I store this data securely?TechnicalExpand answer

  You don't — it already is. Login info and passwords are never stored in plain text. Posts depend on your RLS (see yesterday's security session; or run the security scan and apply changes — 90% of the time you're fine).

  No PCI stored. You can't create a payment gateway with Base44 — you integrate existing ones (Stripe, Wix payments out of the box). PCI is on their end.

  Use a UOU (user-of-user) connector — prompt "connect Gmail" in a new app, pick UOU when asked, ~2 steps. Only Gmail is a prepackaged UOU email connector; no Office 365 UOU out of the box (but any UOU is buildable manually).

  Base44 doesn't make AI — it guard-rails other companies' AIs (though it now has a proprietary model, base one). You can pick the model bottom-left via the cog.

  Two credit types — message (build) and integration (usage). Whether users cost you integration credits depends entirely on how you built the app. Sam linked his ELI5 app that explains the difference.

  Linked the credit-difference app. Sam couldn't cost a fusion-reactor geometry simulation — depends entirely on the build.

  There's no normal — whatever works. A dashboard/hub for agents is common; some use WhatsApp groups. Charles and Lily are the agent power-users. Sam only ran three agents at once (three tabs, no dashboard).

  Build a visual dashboard in an admin CP so every email template is visual and controllable — one prompt. Sam was doing this last November.

  No (not to that degree). Database size will eventually slow things a bit, but not as you fear. Base44's default storage provider is fine (was Supabase, now understood to be a Wix CDN); you can integrate whatever you want (Firebase, Google Drive). No problems until massive scale, and even then no guarantee.

  You've been able to build an HTML email admin panel in a backend since last year (one prompt max). To send from your email you need Resend; for notifications you connect your domain (Dashboard → Domains → connect for email). You need Resend to email anyone not signed up to your app.

  Sam demoed it live: open the app → top-right → invite by email (or share the link) → invite as guest → they accept via email, need a subscription, then all can build simultaneously. Use Canvas for real-time co-working (shared cursor, notes, arrows, send-to-builder).

  Yes. Sam's production app has 2,200 users. The more complex the app, the lower that ceiling, but 80–90 is fine — depends how it's built.

  No custom niche packages (billing would spiral). But packages scale as high as you want — up to enterprise. A social media app doesn't have to cost much in integration credits; that's within your control. Your big upfront spend is message credits building it; scale integration credits up/down as needed (drop from Elite 9 to Elite 1/2 once in production). At ~50k users / 2–3k live, talk to the enterprise team.

  No — these are web apps, they're online. Not what Base44 creates (React-based web apps) and won't be.

  Not directly — but you can make a third app to combine the two.

  No user can clone your app — if there's a true one-to-one clone, you left the cloning feature enabled (it can be turned off, and one-to-one clones can be reported to misuse for takedown). But someone being INSPIRED by your idea can't be stopped by Base44 or anyone — the only protection is trademark/copyright. "Welcome to 2026."

  Only two reasons — when you need more credits, or dedicated support. There's no golden chalice.

  Do it with a super agent — use it for business analysis/automation, not your app. Build a super agent, attach it to the app, have it do the work. Reference the previous super agent sessions.

  Same as outside the partner program — create a contract, terms & conditions, all parties agree. It's an agreement between two people; Base44 won't get involved in disputes (legal/monetary). Document it on the platform for a paper trail; formalise a statement of work.
