Signal log

Standout moments.

The line of the session, and thirteen highlights worth keeping from the hour.

"A screenshot with arrows is maybe my favourite thing other than my wife and child."

β€” Sam on the most effective prompting technique.
  1. Base44 apps are web apps that require internet. The app store publish is a wrapper, not a native conversion.

  2. Base44 is ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, and GDPR compliant.

  3. Integration credits cannot be bought separately, couponed, or rolled over. This was asked three times in one session β€” clear community demand for change. Upvote it on feedback.base44.com.

  4. Use screenshots with drawn arrows for prompts β€” dramatically more effective than text-only.

  5. AI Controls: freeze files from the cog icon in your chat window to prevent the AI from ever touching specific pages.

  6. Apps can talk to each other via API keys (Dashboard β†’ API β†’ line 6). Give each app the other's key and they can read/write all entity data.

  7. A major Workspaces overhaul is coming β€” details unknown but it will change how workspace management, plans, and potentially multi-app setups work.

  8. Custom email branding: Dashboard β†’ Domains β†’ Email Domain β†’ "Use your custom domain."

  9. You can publish to both iOS App Store and Google Play Store directly from the Publish button's second tab.

  10. For your first users: attend Will's "Your First 100 Users" event (linked in Discord events).

  11. Base44 Gift Cards are live β€” 250 credits available via promotion on X.

  12. Credit cost management: switch to cheaper models (Gemini) when low on credits. Cram more into single prompts when apps are small (cost caps at ~5.8-6 per prompt).

  13. For credit usage breakdowns, open a support ticket β€” they can pull detailed reports.
