Launch bulletin
Everything announced on the wire during the hour, in the order it landed on the board.
Msg 01 / 10Live
Super Agents — Officially Live
Fully autonomous agent system available on ALL plans including free. Think of it as a mini person sat in front of a mini computer with a set of instructions. They can read, write, and fully CRUD any entity in your app via API key. Uses both prompt credits (when you talk to them) and integration credits (when they perform background actions). Toggle agents on/off from the tasks panel to manage credit usage.
Msg 02 / 10Clarified
Super Agents ≠ Regular Agents
Regular agents are live chat interfaces powered by a knowledge base or LLM — think customer support bot. Super Agents are fully autonomous and can perform actions, run scheduled tasks, monitor systems, post to social media, and operate independently. A super agent can use a regular agent, but not the other way around.
Msg 03 / 10Coming soon
Agent as a Collaborator — Coming Soon
Super Agents will soon be able to build and modify apps directly. Currently they can control entities and perform actions but cannot edit app code/prompts. This is actively being worked on.
Msg 04 / 10Next week
Per-User Connectors — Next Week
Following up from Session #1 where John said "tomorrow" — clarified here as next week. Per-user connector auth is confirmed as imminent.
Msg 05 / 10Announced
Clean URL Routing
Announced by John in chat — apps will support clean URLs like /profile-name instead of ?profile-name.
Msg 06 / 10Coming
Base44 Merch Is Real
Sam wore a Base44 hoodie and showed a hat on camera. No release date yet but the merchandise is physical and coming.
Msg 07 / 10Live
WebSocket Capabilities — Already Live
Quietly released in early February — enabling real-time multiplayer functionality in Base44 apps. No longer limited to polling and GET requests on entities.
Msg 08 / 10Available
Apple Login Available
Already available as an out-of-the-box auth method. No additional configuration needed beyond toggling it on.
Msg 09 / 10Shipped
Invoke LLM Model Switching
Added in recent changelog — you can now change which AI model is used by invoke LLM through the chat. Currently only available via chat, not through a GUI/admin setting.
Msg 10 / 10Shared
Will's Super Agents Explorer
Will (moderator) built a Super Agents capabilities explorer app within the first week of alpha access — shared during the session for users to browse what Super Agents can do.

Operator stations
Two Super Agents already on shift when the call started — one watching the community, one posting to LinkedIn.
Discord Sentiment Tracker
A Super Agent that monitors the Base44 Discord community, analyses sentiment, and outputs reports to Slack and WhatsApp every 15–30 minutes. It alerts Sam to platform issues, community excitement, or problems automatically. Fully autonomous and hands-off.
Signal path
- Discord
- Sentiment report
- Slack + WhatsApp
Automated LinkedIn Poster
Built within 10 minutes of Super Agents launching. It drafts content, generates images, and automatically schedules posts to LinkedIn. Demonstrated the speed and power of setting up a Super Agent from scratch.

Response
They are completely different. Regular agents are primarily live chat interfaces that can be filled with a knowledge base or connected to an LLM — treat them as a customer support chat for end users. Super Agents are fully autonomous — they can perform actions, run tasks, control entities, monitor systems, and operate independently in the background. A super agent can use a regular agent, but a regular agent cannot use a super agent.
Response
Currently, Super Agents cannot directly build or modify your app through prompts. They can control entities (read, write, update, delete via API key) and perform autonomous tasks, but the actual app building is still in the control of the human builder. However, Base44 is actively working on "agent as a collaborator" — meaning Super Agents will soon be able to build and modify apps directly. John confirmed this in the chat during the session.
Response
It is separate. John confirmed in chat that per-user connectors are coming next week.
Response
An automated social media poster. Will (moderator) built an automated LinkedIn poster within 10 minutes of launch — it drafts content, generates images, and automatically schedules posts. Another example: Sam built a Discord sentiment tracker that analyses community mood and sends reports to Slack and WhatsApp every 15-30 minutes.
Response
Super Agents use both credit types. Prompt credits are consumed when you talk to the agent (giving instructions, asking questions). Integration credits are consumed when the agent performs background actions autonomously. You can toggle agents on/off from the tasks panel to manage costs. Sam recommends running the agent with your credit balances visible at first to get a feel for consumption rates before letting it run fully autonomously.
Response
Sam was unsure whether Super Agents officially support custom MCPs at this stage. Base44 already has custom MCPs in the backend, but whether you can create your own MCP within a Super Agent needs further exploration. Sam committed to logging this question and following up directly.
Response
This is managed through Telegram's BotFather — you can search /mybots, then edit the bot's name, image, description, and enter message directly through BotFather's interface. This is a Telegram-side configuration, not a Base44 setting. (Answer provided by AJ from the community.)
Response
Custom login for email-only auth has been available since early January. You need to toggle off Facebook, Google, and Hotmail auth, then search "auth" in the docs and feed that context into your prompt window. Full custom login across all auth methods (Google, Facebook, etc.) is still being worked on and is getting closer but no confirmed date. Apple Login is already available as an out-of-the-box solution.
Response
When configuring custom login, you will be able to configure elements like the password reset flow. This is part of the ongoing custom login improvements.
Response
Base44 is a React-based web app, so there are constraints on heavy asset loading. However, a lot is already possible with Three.js. Sam has personally made games on Base44 and has seen a user on Reddit (r/base44) building an MMO with 3D generated cinematics. Clash of Clans is definitely remakeable one-to-one on Base44 right now. Additionally, WebSocket capabilities were quietly released in early February, meaning real-time multiplayer games are now possible. Sam strongly encouraged the community to build games as they are massively underrepresented and Base44 will feature and promote them.
Response
Base44 has an Office 365 connector and a Microsoft Teams connector. Scrap any previous manual approach and just prompt: "Please can we integrate Office 365 via the Office 365 connector." It will walk you through logging in with your credentials and connecting. Microsoft integrations are notoriously difficult to do manually, so the connector approach is much simpler.
Response
The Super Agent is available on ALL plans, including the free plan. There is no restriction on plan access. On the free plan you will hit daily credit limits quickly, but there is no paywall blocking access.
Response
John confirmed in chat that the Enterprise plan does have IP adjustments, so IP filtering is possible on that tier.
Response
This is managed through RLS (Row-Level Security) and user permissions. The recommended approach: create a "user permissions" or "user profile" entity separate from the default users table. When a user registers, onboard them through a one-off setup screen that populates this permissions entity. You can then control what each user sees based on their permission record — different views, different toggles, different access levels. You can also build an admin dashboard that controls these toggles. Alternatively, Base44 now has built-in role management in the users table, but Sam still recommends the separate permissions entity approach as good practice. Use discuss mode to plan this.
Response
Yes. Use scheduled tasks. Go to your prompt window and write something like: "I'd like to create full daily scheduled backups. Please create me a UI that supports downloading these backups and create me a scheduled task that backs up all of [list what you want backed up]." It will create a scheduled backup routine and a download interface for you.
Response
There is no official branching system yet (John confirmed it is being worked on but will take time). The current workaround: take your base domain URL and prepend "preview--" to it. This loads an unpublished version of your app — essentially a staging environment where you can test development changes with real user context without publishing. Another workaround is building an admin toggle system — develop features behind on/off switches controlled from an admin panel so you can enable/disable them for live users.
Response
Currently only available through the chat — not through a GUI or admin settings panel. This was confirmed by John.
Response
Sam was unsure whether there is a way to block the preview URL. This was noted to follow up on. It highlights a potential security/privacy consideration with the preview URL feature.
Response
There are plans to support subscriptions and payments more natively going forward. Sam's own production app is on both app stores using RevenueCat. The publish-to-mobile process is improving but full native app store subscription support is not confirmed yet.
Response
Directly storing high-security data in blank entities is technically possible but strongly not recommended. Instead, integrate with specialised secure storage APIs that have already solved the security problems. Sam has previously integrated fingerprint scanners and UK passport uploads via third-party API services. Use dedicated secure services rather than storing sensitive data directly in Base44 entities.
Response
Yes, absolutely.
Response
Sam did not believe the Super Agent has the ability to inject into the users entity directly at this stage.
Response
Go and create your database wherever you want it hosted. Then either pull its API documentation or if it is a popular database, just write to your discuss chat something like: "I'd like to integrate with [database name]. How would I go about doing this for this to be my primary data source?" The prompt will walk you through the integration.
