How a connector patches in
Focus a jack to trace its route into your app — official connectors install in a few prompts, and anything else patches in through its API documentation.
Official connector
Gmail
Wired live during the Mobix demo by typing “Gmail connector” — two words — into the chat.
- Type it into the chat
- Sign in when prompted
- Circuit live
App-wide today
Connectors are connected at application level — all users of the app share the same connected account.
Not for private per-user data — like each user connecting their own calendar — in its current state.
Per-user auth — coming very soon
Confirmed by John from the Base44 team during the call.
Session notes
Key teaching points
Eight labels off the board — everything Sam taught during the session.
PATCH 01
Connectors are pre-packaged integrations built by the Base44 team — designed to install in 1 to 5 prompts maximum.
PATCH 02
Massive misconception: people think if something isn't listed on the connectors page, it can't be integrated. Wrong — any API can be integrated. Connectors are just the easy-mode versions.
PATCH 03
Connectors are app-wide, not per-user. They're connected at application level, meaning all users of that app share the same connected account.
PATCH 04
Do NOT use connectors for private per-user data (e.g. each user connecting their own calendar) in its current state.
PATCH 05
Per-user auth connectors are coming very soon (confirmed by John from the Base44 team during the call).
PATCH 06
New connectors are being shipped almost daily — bookmark the connectors page and watch announcements.
PATCH 07
If emails come through unformatted, prompt Base44 to send as a “cleanly formatted HTML email” — the same fix applies to PDF invoicing.
PATCH 08
Use docs.base44.com as your go-to resource alongside community help channels.
Live demo

Key takeaways
Standout moments
“Any and all APIs out there are integrable within Base44.”
“If you're using 80 prompts to get a connector working, rethink the strategy.”
“Close your eyes and think of something you want to do — it's integrable.”
“There is no ceiling. It is entirely down to you how strong and powerful your application is.”
“99 times out of 100, applying security fixes will break your app — and that's the point.”
Per-user connector auth is confirmed as coming very soon.
Coupon code officehour20 was given out during the session for 20 free credits.
